The Melendy Family

OUR BRANCH OF THE TREE

OUR FAMILY STORY

It's really incredible to look at our family's past. There are so many stories, experiences and family members we could talk about. Where to begin?

David, Lorna, Seth and Andrew constitute just a small branch of a massive family tree that is deeply rooted in America. David is a ninth-generation descendant of William Melendy, who moved from Scotland to Lancashire, England in the late 1600s and married a girl named Sarah Standish. William and Sarah then sailed to Charlestown, Massachussetts, where they welcomed their first child in 1701. Their descendants spread far and wide, including some who established a successful lumber mill business in New Hampshire, where David's dad entered the world in the early 20th century.
